The point’s battle
really heated up this past weekend. Some upsets and big
moves are making for some interesting races. Here’s a
little recap as we head into the finals in just 3 short
weeks.

Super Street
With anywhere from 35-45 points available to the winner
in Super Street Rob Galli and Eddie Timal have a shot at
the top spot currently held by Tony Presto. Add to that
the fact that Mike Yedgarian (who will reportedly be
attending the finals) has a shot at a podium finish,
there’s still gonna be lots of action in Super Street at
the finals.

EZ Street
With Mark Azevedo going out in round one and Noel Borg
winning the race Borg was able to not only retake the
lead but he is now 30 points ahead. This means Borg will
have to go out very early and Azevedo will have to go
deep in order to take the championship.
With a potential 40-65 points available to the winner
the battle for 3rd spot is huge. The list of racers who
can still make a podium finish in the championship race
is as follows:
Neal Correia
Nino Meglio
Sergio Longo
Steve Argiropoulous
Eric Phillips
Danny Medeiros
Larry Mann
Steve Damianidis
Brent Foster
George Tserbis
The finals are gonna be crazy!

Speed North Pro Stock
It’s no secret that Butch Kemp has wrapped up the
championship the #2 and #3 spots are still up for grabs.
With a potential 40-60 points available to the winner
the 2 open spots are available to:
Matt Glassford
Ralph Melino
John Cudizio
Kelly Cooper
Mike Dimech
Mike Konigshofer
No gimmies here and a tough battle will ensue!

8.90 Xtreme Street
With only 33 points between the #1 and #4 spot and a
potential 40 points available to win the battle for the
championship will be vicious. Points leader Larry Dean
will have to fend off Brian Beaven, Rich Mason and Bill
Suitor if he is to become champion. The top 3 spots are
open to all 4 of these racers. What a battle!

9.90 Wild Street
Talk about a tight battle as there are only 3 points
between leader Sue Cooper and Steve Price. With 50
points possible to win there is nobody who can catch
these 2 so while Sue and Steve battle for the
championship, the battle for 3rd will be fought by Steve
Schrans, Demitri Pakkidis and Kirby James!

EIMG 10.90 Modified Street
Another crazy battle in 10.90 with anyone in the top 7
having a shot at the top spot! Dan Marvin currently has
a 30 point (3 rounds) lead going into the final but with
a potential 60 points available to the winner the list
of racers who have a shot at the top spot are:
Dan Marvin
Bryan Terveld
Peter Toich
Marc Thompson
Marc Carano
Craig Irwin
Paul Lutz
Add to the list Greg Miller, Chris Vanbaalen and Mike
Johnson who all still have a shot at a podium finish and
the 10.90 finals are gonna be awesome!

Street Tech Performance 11.90 Real Street
The 11.90 has had some standout performances this year
and the top performers comprise our top 4 in points and
they all have a shot at the championship. #1 Randy Nunn
has a 1 point, that’s right I said 1 point lead over Dan
Pepper and #3 Brad Redford and #4 Andy Kirk are less
than 40 points behind. With a potential 50-60 point’s
available to win, the pressure is on for the finals!

Blaine’s Auto-Elite Awards 12.90 Pure Street
With a super tight battle in the top 3 spots, the
championship is wide open to Craig Aitken, Christina
Stein and Brandon Silva. Jarrod Kolne in the #4 spot
also has a shot at a podium finish with potentially
40-50 points available to win. Talk about pressure!

Performance Improvements Pro Comp
With huge car counts in the highly competitive PC, there
are no fewer than 10 racers who have a shot at a podium
finish. The championship however is available to just 2
racers. Chris Lozon and Nick Kokkas are in the top 2
spots with just 37 points (less than 4 rounds) between
them. With a potential 70-80 point’s available to win it
will be a round by round nail biter. Lozon is no
stranger to winning OSCA championships to the real
pressure will be on Nick Kokkas. The list of racers
battling for the 3rd spot is as follows:
Paulo Silva
Jay Branning
Boomer Duquette
Steve Watson
Scott Drummond
Chris Tourloukis
Shawn Morrell
Marc Gervais

Performance Improvements Open Comp
So check this out! With equally large car counts in OC
as PC, there are 20, yes 20 racers who have a shot at a
podium finish at the finals. If that wasn’t crazy
enough, 19 of those 20 have a shot at the championship!
That’s right, here’s the list of racers battling for the
championship coming into the finals:
Dan Marvin
James Mitchell
Dan Pepper
Andy Faulkes
Randy Nunn
Matt Stoangi
Randy Mounce
Brad Redford
Brad Dean
Craig Aitken
James Tourloukis
Franklin Guillaume
Dave Crumb
Elan Imseis
Brian Howard
Al Hodgson
Mike Goch
Jay Lightheart
Bring on the finals!!!!!
